Loose Threads of Sweet Memories

My fourth grader’s work of arts (1980) .The tears expresses the pain of her separation from mommy… School … and Home!!🥲

Pieces of threads that come off my heart from my daughter’s childhood. Going through a priceless old trunk, I came across this wonderful piece of art by my daughter.

I borrowed this from my daughter’s Instagram. I was ready to relax in the pool and there was my little sweet shadow! 🌹😘❤️

My fourth grade daughter painted this clown, when she was 9 years old. Every child is different, even if born to the same mother and raised in the same home. My two sons were very sociable and outspoken, they were both very outgoing, just like dad!

But the princess of my heart was an introvert like her mom. And she was so attached to Mom, that to spend school hours apart from her, she needed Mom’s purple sweater.

My little princess traveling from ORU, Oklahoma from Spring Break to Orlando. Who is going to imagine that this girl will continue her higher studies so far from home? 👏👏👏🌹❤️ Now she does not need mommy’s sweater, she has Jesus living inside of her!!

That sweater was a sign of safety because she could smell mom’s fragrance. Other children did not know that for my daughter that sweater is invaluable. It represented that mom was constantly with her. My girl was comforted because as long as she had that sweater, mommy was with her!

I was inseparable from my mother and the legacy of lo love goes on with my precious daughter

Isn’t it wonderful that the Lord ascended to heaven, but He did not leave us orphans? He sent us the Holy Spirit to be with us and in us. And we can catch the fragrance of Jesus while we are in the school of life.

Others may not know why we cling so fiercely to the Word of God. It is that the Word teaches us that, the Holy Spirit is our guarantee that we belong to Jesus. And we are never alone, the fragrance of Him covers us all the time.

“I will not leave you fatherless. I will come to you.” (John 14:18 MEV).

You can ask Him to come to live inside of you and He will. Say: Lord Jesus, receive me as your child and fill me with your fragrance. Amen.

Together! Many decades later because is not just a mother-daughter relationship, but a Godly union with our Heavenly Father!

This is my Story! What’s Yours?
