Honoring my Mother

6:30 AM, ready for my Friday’s chores, laundry, cleaning etc. All of the sudden I looked at myself on the mirror and I saw my mentor, my friend, my lovely mother!
On this she was 86, I’m 72.

The purpose of having children is not for them to love me, to take care of me, to meet my unmet needs, for me to live my frustrated life through them, forcing them to be what I was not able to be or do.

This is my mom’s passport pic in 1959, she was 36 years old and I am 14

The original purpose is to fill the earth with the image of God. Specially as a mother, the greatest privilege is to teach the Word of God to our children, not only by words but by living it.

Worshiping God together!

My mother taught me by words and by example. She gave me a palate for the Word of God!

The Word has formed me and shaped my inner being with strength to withstand all the storms of life threatening my very own existence.

Different Seasons of Life!

That blessed Word, I was able to transmit to my children. And today I enjoy a family that lives only for God!

Because I was blessed with a mother that raised me with the Word of God as our daily bread, I am what I am today! My sister calls me “ the lady of iron”, but I very well know, that my visible strength is the Warrior hidden inside of me, His name is Jesus!

I thank God for my mother who gave herself to love and serve God and passed on that blessed legacy to us, her children.

Honoring my lovely mother, a five feet tall and one hundred feet tall in good works!

This is my Story! What’s Yours?
