This morning at the gym, while on the treadmill, I dove into prayer for wisdom. With deep gratitude I thought about how blessed I am to be able to be in your presence anywhere and in any circumstance. I was wondering if there were other people there with the same urgency and if they were also invoking your name.
In my search for wisdom to know what path you tell me to take to manage Summer expenses. The bank sends me a fixed rate offer, I thought about borrowing $20,000.00 excluded from my line of credit.
Then I thought about giving ODP a $100,000.00 mortgage and consolidating all the loans. That sounds brilliant, but you reminded me of how you ordered me to pay and get out of debts.
I believe that you have transformed my mind into a sabbatical and with your grace I will remain in that state of mind. I trust you with all my strength. The mortgage seems like the best plan, so my name is clear and we pay an affordable monthly payment. But 1 Kings 13:17 resonates in my heart.
“I have been told by the word of the Lord: ‘You must not eat bread or drink water there or return by the way you came.’ ” (1 Kings 13:17).
Now, after years of reading this passage and not seeing much sense, it instructed me as 2 Timothy 3:16 says. I thank my God for He illuminates my darkness!
“Indeed, you are my lamp, Lord. The Lord illumines the darkness around me.” (2 Samuel 22:29 NET).
The Lord illuminates my path!
The Lord granted my plea! Debts no longer fill my mind. Every beat of my heart strikes a note of blessed hope! Finally, the Lord gave me a Sabbatical mind, which is like a river of safe rest!

🏋️ En el gimnasio
Esta mañana en el gimnasio, mientras estaba en la cinta, me sumergí en oración por sabiduría. Con profunda gratitud pensé en lo bendecida que soy de poder estar en tu presencia en cualquier lugar y en cualquier circunstancia. Me preguntaba si habría más personas allí con la misma urgencia y si también estarían invocando tu nombre.
En mi búsqueda de sabiduría para saber qué camino me dices tomar para gestionar los gastos de Verano. El banco me envía una oferta de tasa fija, pensé en pedir prestado $20,000.00 excluidos de mi línea de crédito.
Entonces pensé en ponerle a ODP una hipoteca de $100,000.00 y consolidar todos los préstamos. Eso suena brillante, pero me recordaste cómo me ordenaste pagar y salir de mis deudas.
Creo que has transformado mi mente en una sabática y con tu gracia permanezco en ese estado de ánimo. Confío en ti con todas mis fuerzas. La hipoteca parece el mejor plan, así mi nombre queda libre y pagamos un pago mensual asequible. Pero 1 Reyes 13:17 resuena en mi corazón.
“Porque por palabra de Dios me ha sido dicho: No comas pan ni bebas agua allí, ni regreses por el camino por donde fueres. ( 1 Reyes 13:17).
Ahora, después de años de leer este pasaje y no ver mucho sentido, me instruyó como dice 2 Timoteo 3:16. Gracias mi Dios, tú alumbras mis tinieblas.
“Tú eres mi lámpara, oh Jehová; Mi Dios alumbrará mis tinieblas.” (2 Samuel 22:29 RVR1960).
¡El Señor concedió mi súplica! Las deudas ya no llenan mi mente. ¡Cada latido de mi corazón transmite una nota de bendita esperanza! Finalmente, el Señor me dio una mente sabática, ¡que es como un río de descanso seguro!
