Consider the soil where the fruit will bloom. If you delight in the Lord, you truly have a heart for Him. So what would happen if you transgressed the commandments of the One you profess to love?
Is it possible that the Lord overlooks my heart, but not my fruit? I realized that God did that to David. Second Samuel chapter 11, narrates the story of David committing adultery with Bathsheba.
When David found out that she was pregnant, he orchestrated the death of Uriah, her husband. Uriah was one of the most loyal and powerful warriors in David’s kingdom.
Through the prophet, God confronted David with his horrendous sin. According to the law, David should have died. But he repented with great pain, God forgave him, but not the fruit of sin.
David was forgiven because he had a heart for God. However, the bitter fruit of sin never departed from him. Psalm 51 tells of David’s repentant heart.
The moral of this story is that no matter how horrible your sin was, if you repent, you will find forgiveness at the foot of the cross.

La moraleja de esta historia es que no importa cuán horrible haya sido tu pecado, si te arrepientes, encontrarás el perdón a los pies de la cruz de Cristo.
